The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) sponsors annual student design competitions to further its primary goals--promoting the art of science, and the science of art. The Cardinal Team, in response to the 1999 Request for Proposal (RFP), is designing a Super-Short Take-Off and Landing dual-use cargo/military aircraft. This site details the current Cardinal design, reflecting innovative, yet practical methods for meeting the design specifications.
